Inspectors wroteBased on observations, record review, and interview, the facility failed to follow professional standards of practice for food safety and sanitation to prevent the potential spread of foodborne illness to residents who are at high risk. Specifically, the facility failed to: 1. Maintain the ice machine in a clean and sanitary manner in one out of three kitchenettes; and 2. Ensure staff implemented and followed their policy related to safe and sanitary storage, handling, and consumption of foods items stored in the Resident's personal refrigerator/freezer.
